LANGUAGE​
​Expressive language refers to the use of language. This includes a child's vocabulary, the use of words,  putting sentences together, grammar, and telling stories. 
Receptive language refers to a child's ability to understand language, such as, understanding vocabulary, following instructions, and following conversations.
